Prior to joining Uzzi & Lall, Colin was a partner at Ducera, a boutique investment bank focused on restructuring, M&A and private capital. Colin began his career in corporate law and became a partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in 2007. In 2010, after working with Keshav at Citadel, he joined Morgan Stanley where he built and led a special situations direct investment business. In 2017, Mr. Adams became a Senior Managing Director at M3 Partners where he reunited with Keshav.

Colin has been a C-suite leader for six businesses that were successfully stabilized, has served on ten boards as an independent director and has advised the management, boards and stakeholders of more than 30 companies experiencing some form of financial or operational dislocation or stress. As an advisor, investor or attorney, Colin has been involved in several of the largest and most complex chapter 11 cases in U.S. history, including: American Airlines; Lernout & Hauspie; Sears; Tronox; TXU; and WorldCom.

Colin was awarded an A.B. in Economics and History from Duke University in 1996 and a J.D. and Certificate in Business Law from the UCLA School of Law in 1999.
